Based in the Île-de-France region, Fatoumata Barry is a corporate lawyer. She assists organizations in securing their operations by providing pragmatic legal solutions in contracts, compliance, and risk management. Currently a legal counsel at Société Générale Group, she works on complex financing matters where she analyzes risks, secures transactions, and supports teams in their decision-making processes.

Her approach is highly pragmatic: aligning legal requirements with operational realities to effectively guide decision-making. Her background, spanning Burkina Faso and France, has allowed her to develop a dual legal culture. After studying OHADA law at the Université Polytechnique de Bobo-Dioulasso, she earned a Master 2 in Corporate Law from the Université de Toulon in France. This dual education fuels her current interest in international projects and the development challenges of the African continent.

At African Power, Fatoumata contributes to the development of the legal function by supporting the organization's structuring, securing its partnerships, and progressively establishing its governance and compliance framework. For her, the skills, experiences, and resources available both on the continent and within the diaspora are complementary. Networking them and leveraging them for joint projects constitutes an essential lever for building a stronger and more resilient Africa.

Beyond her professional activity, Fatoumata is interested in leadership, self-confidence, and proactive action.
