African Power Talks & Media Lead

Eddy Gaetan Mbvoum Mbiakop is a Health Management and Health Economics student in Germany. Alongside his academic journey, he works as a Werkstudent in the Sales & Partner Management department at Versicherungskammer. In this role, he contributes to the development and management of strategic partnerships, supports partner engagement initiatives, assists commercial activities, and collaborates on the coordination of various projects. This experience has enabled him to build strong expertise in partner relationship management, communication, business development, and project coordination while working within one of Germany’s leading insurance groups.

Alongside his academic and professional career, Eddy has built extensive experience in public speaking as a moderator, master of ceremonies, and event host. Through conferences, forums, official ceremonies, cultural events, and celebrations, he has developed strong skills in moderating discussions, engaging diverse audiences, and facilitating meaningful exchanges.

Today, as Lead Talks & Media at African Power, he brings this experience to a clear mission: creating platforms for dialogue that foster knowledge sharing, showcase African talent, and amplify the visibility of initiatives shaping the future of the continent.

Deeply convinced that Africa should be the first to tell its own story, Eddy is committed to promoting communication driven by Africans themselves. For him, telling Africa’s story means highlighting its achievements, innovations, talents, and homegrown solutions with authenticity, helping to reshape perceptions and inspire both present and future generations.
