Ing. Arlette NGNOGUE KAPTOUOM

African Power Awards Lead

Based in the Paris Region, Arlette Ngnogue Kaptouom embodies a new generation of African engineers, standing at the crossroads of systems engineering, technological innovation, and a resolutely future-facing continental ambition.

Currently a Senior Project Manager and Tech Lead, she spearheads the development of complex industrial autonomous systems, coordinating multidisciplinary teams of over 30 people across R&D, industrialization, and quality assurance. Her role positions her at the intersection of technology, management, and product strategy, where she ensures rigorous alignment between performance, innovation, and client requirements.

Holding a degree in Mechatronics from Friedrich-Alexander Universität in Germany and a Master’s in Robotic Systems and Drones from Efrei Paris, Arlette has honed her expertise in some of the world's most demanding sectors—from the nuclear industry and fundamental research to embedded systems and advanced robotics. Trilingual in French, English, and German, she navigates international and multicultural environments with ease.

Beyond her technical and managerial responsibilities, Arlette is driven by a profound conviction: that the African diaspora is a major strategic lever for the continent's development. Through her involvement with organizations such as African Power, she actively works to unite African talent in Europe around concrete projects, build bridges between European and African innovation ecosystems, and inspire a new generation of professionals to take their rightful place in the industries of tomorrow.

Her leadership is built on four pillars: technical rigor, collective intelligence, adaptability, and impact. Deeply convinced that individual excellence only holds meaning when it serves a collective purpose, she is committed every day to proving that talent, ambition, and community roots are completely inseparable.

"I don’t just build systems. I build bridges between disciplines, between cultures, and between Africa and the world."
