Yet every year, thousands of projects led by entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers struggle to reach the next stage of their development. Not because they lack potential, but because they often lack visibility, strategic connections, and access to the opportunities needed to scale.

At the same time, investors are looking for credible ventures. Institutions are searching for impactful solutions. Companies are seeking innovative partners. And members of the African diaspora are eager to contribute to the continent's development, often without knowing where to find the most promising initiatives.

The challenge, therefore, is not simply to generate more ideas.

The challenge is to better identify, structure, connect, and accelerate the ideas and projects that already exist.

It is from this conviction that the African Power Awards were born.

The African Power Awards are not just another pitch competition.

They are a platform designed to identify, showcase, and connect high-potential projects developed by African talents across the continent and the diaspora.

Our ambition is simple: to build bridges between African builders, industry experts, strategic partners, investors, and the ecosystems capable of accelerating their growth.

We believe that the solutions that will shape Africa's future already exist. They are being developed every day by women and men innovating in agriculture, healthcare, education, culture, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Our role is to provide them with a stage.

A Competition Designed for Impact

The African Power Awards 2026 are open to innovative projects delivering tangible solutions for Africa and its diaspora.

Applications are open across six categories:

Health & Well-being
Education & Skills Development
Agriculture & Environment
Entrepreneurship
Arts, Culture & Media

Beyond innovation, we are looking for projects that demonstrate relevance, economic viability, and strong growth potential.

Because sustainable impact is not built on ideas alone.

It is built on execution.

A Structured Journey

Selected candidates will follow a structured selection process including shortlisting, technical committee interviews, a preparation program for finalists, and a Grand Finale in Germany before a jury of experts, partners, and ecosystem leaders.

Following the competition, award winners will benefit from dedicated support designed to accelerate the growth of their projects and strengthen their access to meaningful opportunities.
